A FAMILY ADVENTURE SPANNING 5 GENERATIONS
From father to son…
For five generations, growing vines has been our vocation and crafting Champagne our passion.
A family expertise passed down from one generation to the next:
Lucienne and Henri Trutin
followed by Marie and Maurice Prévoteau
then Ghislaine Truttin and Marcel Prévoteau, my grandparents
Mireille and Gérald Prévoteau
Éric, my late younger brother, and myself, Yannick
Clémentine and Marius, my children – still too young today, but who knows what the future may hold?
Our story with Champagne truly began in 1969 with my father, Gérald.
At the age of 20, after a short career in the gas industry, he took over from his parents.
Bold and full of determination, with just 700 vines and no stock whatsoever, he embarked on his own adventure of producing Champagne.
Alongside the work in the vineyards began a long and demanding journey: finding people willing to place their trust in him and investing in the vineyards to obtain enough grapes to produce his first bottles of Champagne.
EIn 1970, the very first harvest produced 700 bottles of Champagne – from just 7 ares of vines in production!
The Yannick Prévoteau brand was born only a few months after the birth of their first child: Yannick.
Over the years, family members, friends and even acquaintances placed their trust in us and entrusted us with the cultivation of their vineyards. Little by little, this shaped the estate we know today:
9.5 hectares of vineyards across 9 terroirs and more than 63 individual plots.

WORKING THE VINES
IN CHAMPAGNE
Viticulture guided by observation and precision
Our vineyards cover 9.5 hectares, spread across 9 terroirs and more than 63 individual plots, from the Marne Valley to the Vitryat.
This diversity is a true source of richness. Every plot has its own exposure, soil, microclimate and individual rhythm. We therefore adapt our work to the characteristics of each vineyard as well as to the conditions of each vintage.
Our approach to responsible viticulture is based on careful observation of the vines and their environment. Interventions are measured and carried out only when necessary, helping us preserve the natural balance and encourage the expression of each individual terroir.
Pruning, soil cultivation, disbudding, lifting, trellising and harvesting – every action contributes to the quality and personality of the wines to come.

THE ESTATE
Today, our wine estate comprises:
9.5 hectares of vineyards across 9 terroirs and more than 63 individual plots.
Our vineyards extend from the right bank of the Marne Valley, including Aÿ Grand Cru, through the southern slopes of Épernay and Pierry Premier Cru, all the way to the slopes of the Vitryat.
Pierry 1er Cru, jusqu’aux coteaux du Vitryat.
A wonderfully diverse landscape where Champagne’s three principal grape varieties thrive:
20% Chardonnay
35% Pinot Noir
45% Pinot Meunier
Our approach to viticulture places particular emphasis on preserving the biodiversity and ecosystem of our terroir. We strive to minimise our carbon footprint and reduce our water requirements in order to preserve this precious natural resource.
