“Les Plates
Pierres” is a vineyard parcel that has been cultivated by the Grumier family
for many generations.
Set on
limestone and clay soils and entirely replanted in 1990 and 1991, this “large”
vineyard (1.40 ha) produces wines of remarkable aromatic purity. We strive to
express this wonderful terroir as faithfully as possible by practising gentle
viticulture, with grass cover and soil cultivation beneath the vine rows.
The grape
varieties planted in the vineyard are also reflected in this bottle, with a
blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Produced in
an exceptional vintage, this wine is built for ageing. Try it with roasted
turbot and chanterelles or Bresse chicken.
