NOTRE HÉRITAGE
OUR HERITAGE
AND OUR MISSION
Since it was built in 1825, our family estate
in Damery has evolved considerably. It originally served as the family home, at
a time when the family worked exclusively in the vineyards. Later, the cellars
were dug and extended when Virginie’s grandparents began producing Champagne.
Today, enriched by this expertise passed down
through generations, we continue to deepen our understanding of our terroir,
refine our blends and further develop our mastery of winemaking in oak.
OUR COMMITMENT
**Aware of the fragility of our terroir and determined to preserve its richness, we have progressively changed the way we work.**
Since 2020, our vineyards have been farmed according to 100% organic agricultural practices..
We have been certified by Ecocert since 1 August 2023, the same year in which we harvested our first officially certified organic grapes.
Our environmental commitment, however, goes back much further. We have not used insecticides since the 1990s and began phasing out herbicides in 2014.
For our bottles to carry organic certification, all the juices used must come exclusively from organically grown grapes.
Our approach reflects our commitment to preserving biodiversity and the living ecosystem of our soils.
This commitment enhances the expression of our terroir, as well as the quality and distinctive character of our wines.

OUR TERROIR
AND OUR VISION
**Our vineyard comprises 45 plots covering 6.3 hectares within a radius of six kilometres. It is located mainly on the right bank of the Marne River and extends across five villages: Hautvillers and Cumières, both classified as Premier Cru, as well as Damery, Fleury-la-Rivière and Vauciennes.**
Our fresh and fruity cuvées aim to express the character of our valley as authentically as possible.
Driven by our passion for Champagnes made as naturally as possible, we have placed the barrel at the heart of our winemaking. It is not used solely for ageing: our juices are fermented directly in the barrel in order to keep the influence of oak subtle..
Made simply from wood, water and fire, the barrel is one of the most natural vessels used in winemaking.
The diversity of our barrels, in both size and age, combined with the diversity of our vineyard plots and grape varieties, gives us the opportunity to create complex and precise blends.
The absence of filtration and malolactic fermentation enhances the aromatic expression while preserving freshness.
