Montchenot 1er Cru
The Montchenot 1er Cru cuvée crafted by Nicolas Maillart is an indulgent, expressive and fruity Champagne. This cuvée is an excellent choice for an aperitif or even to accompany the beginning of a meal.
This cuvée comes from the village of Villers-Allerand, more precisely from the hamlet of Montchenot. Montchenot is located at the junction between the Petite Montagne and the Grande Montagne de Reims. It therefore shares the geology of both regions (sand, clay and chalk).
To create this cuvée, Nicolas Maillart selected the finest plots of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from this Premier Cru terroir.
The Montchenot 1er Cru cuvée is vinified half in oak barrels and half in tanks, achieving a superb balance between richness and purity.
Dosaged as Extra Brut, this cuvée displays remarkable tension and a beautiful aromatic complexity.
